01What it's for
The ART Sync looks at progress towards the PI objectives, at dependencies between teams and at impediments. It is where scope is adjusted during the PI.
02What it turns into on the old system
It becomes the programme status meeting. Team representatives report percentages, the RTE acts as a project manager and the programme board is used as a reporting tool.
03How you notice
- Updates are percentages, not objectives at risk.
- Impediments are listed, not resolved.
- Decisions are pushed up to management.
04How to make it work
Keep it short and focused on objectives at risk and dependencies.
Decide in the room: POs, Scrum Masters and the RTE hold the information, so they decide.
Escalate only what they cannot decide, to the VMO Sync.
